Children's Program

The goal of Children's Religious Education program is to offer a comprehensive, quality program where children can experience and learn the importance of their gift of faith. We endeavor to make them aware of the richness of Catholic doctrines and traditions and to become rooted in scripture. We give them the opportunity to answer the call to discipleship by experiencing community with their peers and involvement in service projects. We hope that these goals can be achieved in a fun and caring environment.

While all of this is true, you, the parents, are still the primary catechists to your children. What you do in the home is extremely important in helping your children develop a deep relationship with God and knowledge about their Catholic faith. The religious education ministry considers it an honor and a privilege to help you with this awesome responsibility.

It is our hope that we can work together in passing on the gift of faith to the younger members of our parish community.

Let us support, encourage and pray for one another. The catechists who teach your children are parishioners who volunteer their time and talent. They come forward to share their faith. Many of them have taught one year or more. All catechists are encouraged to grow in their awareness and knowledge of our Catholic faith and to develop their personal spirituality. Adult and teen aides assist the catechists each week. You are welcome to become involved either as a catechist or as an aide.

Kid's Word

Most Sundays at 10:00 AM Mass all children, between the ages of three and eight, are invited to join in Kid's Word in the church basement. Kid's Word is liturgy that is especially written for children to understand.
